DANCE OR DIE LONDON LAUNCH

We’re excited to host the London book launch for Dance or Die: A History of Hardcore at STANDALONE on 9 July. Dance or Die is the first critical study of city-based hard dance communities spanning three decades of musical reinvention mapped to sweeping gentrification, political intervention and seismic societal change.

And purchase your copy of Dance or Die from our stall before author Holly Dicker hosts an evening of expanded stories and discourse around the London diehard scene, past, present and phuture.

Ravescene contributor and pirate radio legend Jason Warlock will present his ’90s hardcore zine collection and talk about his experiences DJ and raving on either side of the criminal (in)justice bill, before Holly moderates a London arkdcore panel with special guests: James “Saint Acid” Gurney, founder of Bang Face and the inflatable-lobbing “neo-rave” movement; breakbeat OG Louise Plus One from Distant Planet; and fellow hardcore raver-journalist Hugh Taylor from KALLIDA Festival.
