KAPTAIN KARNIVAL EXHIBITION

Announcing a hilarious and wonky exhibition of thrilling art taken from the epic musical book by Finger Lickin’ Records pioneer Jem “Stone” Panufnik: The Legend of Kaptain Karnival Art Show
Books on the Rise in Richmond will host a show of thrilling and surreal art from the musical book The Legend of Kaptain Karnival, the epic and highly original audio-visual feast. Take yourself on a psychedelic journey through Jem’s unique and distinctive art in the form of prints, paintings and sculpture on a quest to find the truth about this tantalising icon, Kaptain Karnival: deity, Confucius or downright cheeky monkey?
The exhibition is open daily from 20 October until 10 November, with a special launch night on Thursday 23 October. Jem will be spinning some tunes and in conversation about his past as DJ, producer and record label impresario, his Richmond and Twickenham connection, and the philosophical journey towards discovering the lost icon that is Kaptain Karnival. Free entry with a ticket.
