Announcing a hilarious and wonky exhibition of thrilling art from the epic musical book by Finger Lickin’ Records pioneer Jem “Stone” Panufnik: The Legend of Kaptain Karnival Art Show

Books on the Rise in Richmond is the latest venue to host the show of surreal comic art derived from the audio-visual feast, The Legend of Kaptain Karnival, a highly original fusion of graphics and music that has been touring the UK to great acclaim. Take yourself on a psychedelic journey through Jem’s unique and distinctive art in the form of prints, paintings and sculpture on a quest to find the truth about this tantalising icon, Kaptain Karnival: deity, Confucius or downright cheeky monkey?

Due to an unprecedented number of folk needing to find their inner cheeky monkey, Books on the Rise is delighted to extend the Kaptain Karnival Art Show until New Year 2026!

Free entry, open daily 10am – 6pm except Mondays, with books and posters available to buy.
