Georgina Cook
Georgina Cook is a multidisciplinary artist and photographer deeply rooted in community, culture, environment, and identity. She is the visionary behind Drumz Of The South, a zine turned blog, turned event, turned book, in which she delves into the early evolution of dubstep within her native South London.
Georgina frequently works with esteemed institutions such as the Tate Modern, Museum of Youth Culture, and the V&A. She is a sought-after speaker, delivering talks and lectures on photography and culture in colleges and organisations throughout the UK.
A founding director of Picnic, a photobook library in Hastings, Georgina played an instrumental role in spearheading its education program. She is the producer of Vision of Sound, a podcast spotlighting creative individuals whose work is inspired by or centred around music.
A longstanding collaborator of the record label GD4YA, Georgina’s contributions have been pivotal in shaping the landscape of contemporary electronic music culture in the UK and beyond.
Georgina’s images have appeared in Vice, Dazed, XLR8R, Qvest, RA, DJ Mag, The Guardian and other media.
