Keith Robinson

Keith Robinson

Keith Robinson was the founding member of Desert Storm, a sound system that hosted free parties across the UK and Europe. Known as Keef to his friends, he was renowned for his military precision in organising illicit raves and infused the scene with a socially conscious ethos. He aimed to improve the existing world rather than escape into an alternative one.

Keith’s first forays into parties in Glasgow led to whirlwind tours of the UK and participation in the emerging European teknival movement. He was also involved in political activism, including events such as Reclaim the Streets in Trafalgar Square, and undertook a humanitarian aid mission to support the people of war-torn Bosnia.

Later, he served in Afghanistan with the Territorial Army—a decision that, while perplexing to friends, highlighted his deep sense of altruism. Keith sadly passed away in 2016, but his contributions continue to inspire those who share his passion for music, activism, and unyielding dedication.
